The Future of Food 2.0: sf.citi announces event targeting plant-based investments

Building on the immensely successful pilot of its talking series addressing the future of food, sf.citi will be staging a follow up event on July 10, 2019. Partners of the 2018 event, staged under the Global Climate Action Summit banner, included WeWork, Facebook, and some of the Silicon Valley’s biggest food tech companies.

The 2018 edition welcomed more than 200 guests

The Future of Food 2.0, under the theme of “Plant-Based Investing”, will take place at WeWork headquarters in San Francisco, California. The event will feature the world’s top leaders and investors in plant-based innovation including Prince Khaled bin Alwaleed, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of KBW Ventures, Bruce Friedrich, Co-Founder and Executive Director of The Good Food Institute, Stray Dog Capital, New Crop Capital, and many more exciting surprise speakers.

The event will delve into the future of investing in this incredible new space, and discuss how Beyond Meat’s IPO has kicked off a bevy of opportunities in the plant-based tech evolution.

The 2018 event was moderated by Erin Brodwin, Lead Tech and Science Reporter at Business Insider, and had a strong lineup of influential speakers

In addition, sf.citi will present its expanded ‘Meatless Marketplace’ featuring some of the top plant-based innovations from companies including Miyoko’s, JUST, Eclipse Foods, and Something Better Foods, as well as companies with breakthrough food products not yet in stores.
